A few days ago I was taking a look at ways to reduce our site’s loading time, when I came across this great WordPress plugin called WP Minify. So I figured it was worth a shot and is always removable. So we installed WP Minify and right off the bat I noticed page loading times decrease. WP Minify is a great plugin, it takes all the css and javascript files included in each page of your WordPress site and compresses them all into one file to increase your site’s speed. After configuring WP Minify, it turns out we reduced our javascript and css sizes by over 50 percent! WP Minify cut our included files in half, but doesn’t impair any of the functionality of our site.
I’d suggest that anyone serious about their website checks out this plugin as soon as possible. It’ll reduce your external javascript/css size by large amounts and decrease page loading times, reducing the amount of people who leave before they even get a chance to see your content. Goalie, is there a way to convert this mod for use on scripts other than WordPress?
That may be possible, I’ll look into a version for AV Arcade.
